Shiela Martina Keaise was born and raised in Walterboro,
South Carolina. She is the product of South Carolina Universities—Claflin
University (BS), South Carolina State University (MS), and University of South
Carolina (MLIS). Ms. Shiela has worked as Children’s Librarian for more than 10
years at the Colleton County Memorial Library. She enjoys singing, acting, and
writing, which she incorporates on a regular basis.
Ms. Shiela is also a Publishing Consultant, Singing
Storyteller, South Carolina Certified Early Education Trainer, And Author.
Shiela Martina is the pen name (and preferred name) for her children’s books.
She recently wrote and published the book called Hannah and Dexter: The First
Meeting. This thought provoking children’s book is intended to be a series
about two unlikely people working together. They are encouraged to respect
their individual differences, and accept one another’s opinions.
